Important rental agreement and policies for SewaEZ Car Rental services

Effective Date: 25/7/2025

Welcome to SewaEZ Car Rental. By booking and using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking & Payment

  • Bookings are confirmed only after payment of a deposit or full rental fee (as specified during booking).
  • Payment methods accepted: cash, bank transfer, or online transfer (details provided upon booking).
  • Prices are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are subject to change without prior notice.

2. Driver & License Requirements

  • The minimum driver age is 21 years old with a valid driving license.
  • Drivers must hold a full and valid Malaysian driving license or an international driving permit (for foreigners).
  • SewaEZ reserves the right to refuse rental if license validity or identity documents cannot be verified.

3. Vehicle Usage

  • Vehicles are to be used only for lawful purposes within Malaysia.
  • Sub-rental, off-road use, motorsport, or illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
  • The renter is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is returned in the same condition as received.

4. Insurance & Liability

  • All vehicles are covered by basic insurance (third-party liability).
  • The renter is responsible for:
    • • Traffic summonses, fines, or toll charges incurred during rental.
    • • Excess/claims not covered by insurance due to negligence, DUI, or unauthorized use.
    • • Damage due to misuse, accidents, or neglect will be charged to the renter.

5. Deposit & Security

  • A refundable security deposit is required before vehicle handover.
  • The deposit will be refunded after inspection, provided:
    • • No damage or loss is found.
    • • No unpaid summonses or tolls are recorded.

6. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles are provided with a certain fuel level and must be returned with the same level.
  • Refueling charges apply if returned with less fuel.

7. Pickup & Return

  • Vehicles must be collected and returned at the agreed time and location.
  • Late returns may incur additional hourly or daily charges.
  • Early returns are allowed, but unused rental fees are non-refundable.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before pickup may be eligible for a partial refund.
  • No-shows or last-minute cancellations may forfeit the deposit.
  • SewaEZ reserves the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., vehicle breakdown) with a full refund provided.

9. Responsibilities of the Renter

  • Keep the vehicle locked and secured when unattended.
  • Immediately report any accidents, damages, or theft to SewaEZ.
  • Do not smoke or consume alcohol inside the vehicle (cleaning fees may apply).

10. Limitation of Liability

SewaEZ Car Rental is not liable for:

  • Loss of personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
  • Delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., traffic, weather).
  • Indirect or consequential damages related to the rental.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be resolved under Malaysian jurisdiction.
